TV's Lost Gems

#2. Dead Like Me
You'd think this show would be grim, but it was anything but. Full of life affirming humor and wry insight it was doomed to a short life. But we who watched could have watched forever. There is a new DVD movie in the works, and if it hits on disc, the show may come back to cable.

So, watch it! (You know you're dying too!)

Today I'm burning "The Sidewalks of New York" (Buster Keaton sound film) and "The Broadway Melody." More later in the day.

Wasn't today supposed to be warm, with the cold coming later in the week?

Great dialog from "The Old Dark House:"
Karloff as the deformed butler: "MRLFGTHTNEND!"
Melyn Douglas: "Even Welsh shouldn't sound like that!"
