This was one I was more than reticent about. Eliza Drusku had just come off of Buffy and Angel, the show just couldn't be that good. Then it was! Even when they added a bad guy from 90210 it got better, not worse.

After all the "Let's make a new world" movies (most of which start with us having destroyed or abandoned ours" movies, you'd think everything had been done. But this Spielberg show had a lot of ideas and was just getting to break even point when it disappeared.
