All the world's a circle?
Mar. 27th, 2004 12:48 amNo, I don't think so. All the world is a jigsaw puzzle, and we are the pieces. But the puzzle is so huge that none of us can see the whole picture. All we can do is seek out those pieces that interlock with us, that seem to make a piece of the picture, and then hold on for dear life. Sometimes we find a piece that seems to fit, or seems to be part of the picture, but the fit isn't right. So we have to move on, surer of what piece we are, and more certain what our matching piece or pieces must be, and ever vigilant for that fit. We move from small groups to larger groups and back again trying to find a community of pieces that makes a pleasant picture, but ultimately we are looking for a personal match. Some of us get lucky and find that match, others must look longer. But the universe is always seeking balance and the puzzler is always looking for a perfect final picture. My Grandmother once told me, "The gift of life is life. The burden of life is life. The purpose of life is life." So take that gift, shoulder that burden and live that gift. There are still some edge pieces that need to be filled end. And you know, once the edges are done, why you're halfway there.
