I am by no way an expert, but this is from what I know. Samurai warriors were committed to the Sumi-e form of painting. In this form you used a brush and never redid a line. Single strokes to create uncomplicated water color sketches. You did not life the brush, once a stroke was begun you were committed to the line. That is the way I live my life. Each minute is a painting. Each stroke is a message within itself. There is no error, there is only choice. If a hundred paintings are forgettable, ten may be brilliant. Every frame of film is a picture unto itself. Nothing is worthless, nothing should be wasted. Every sunset is a masterpiece, every song is a melody in my heart. Every conversation is a wondrous attempt at human communication. Ladies and gentlemen, dip your brushes, and let's paint.
