Joplin Renfest

Well, I should write something about the festival, but it is hard to do so, for many reasons. We all gave birth to something wonderful. There were traumas and conditions that came into the way, but all were dealt with. The first and most important thing to say is that I have such a strong new family of people that I love in terms that are impossible to measure. People who saw the vision and were unwilling to give up, despite the unthinkably short time to prepare, despite the weather and so many other things. This was the stuff of pioneers, the people that made this country what it is, and I am proud of every one. I yearn to be with you all again, and will be with many as I teach classes for White Hart. I will be a Muskogee this coming weekend, but I won't be doing any shows. So, if you are around, come and play! And never forget the wonder you have been a part of and that you are loved.
