Does anyone else think the "War Protesters" who are causing problems in Denver might be a strategy of the Republicans? Remembering how just such rioting and arrests torpedoed Hubert Humphrey during Viet Nam, could the Republican Playbook be saying, "Sure, it's our war, but we could make it look bad for them if the police over react. Then we can say, 'Look at this, this is the party of peace? Vote for us and we'll bring Order!'" Just a thought.
Hawk was up, three days early, walking with a walker today! I don't think the man is human. We need to buy him a cape (He wouldn't wear tights though)!
Beside writing through capter 62 in the book, the last couple of days I burned DVDs of "Mr. Pollifax - Spy," "Brother Orchid," "Turnabout" (1940), The Laurel & Hardy silents "You're Darn Tootin'," "Big Business," the restored version of "Battle of the Century," "Soylent Green," "Larceny, Inc.," "Mr. Winkle Goes To War" and "The Birth of Betty Boop." I'm about to burn "Fastest Gun Alive," and, with any luck all 8 Astaire and Rogers musicals. Whew!
BTW: I did get the complete "Maverick" DVDs (25 of them)
EDIT: Seems that even TCM is adding a copy protection against DVD to their signal. Crap.
