Sep. 30th, 2009 07:59 amJust got confirmation that two films I have been searching for for year years are in the mail. "Trainride to Hollywood" (with Bloodstone) has just been shipped, and "Can Heironimus Merkin Every Forget Mercy Humpe and Find True Happiness?" (with Anthony Newley) is already on the way. The first was an attempt to do a musical during a period when nobody did musicals. It is low budget and not a comedy knockout, but interesting. The second is a Musical autobiography with touches of "8 1/2" and lots of over the top stuff (it was listed as the first X-Rated Musical, though it didn't really deserve that. It was produced by Playboy, so it had to be.) Now on top of the others I found a download of "Greser's Palace" that will fill in another long searched for indie. It is an allegory with Alan Arbus (Sidney Freedman from "M*A*S*H") as Jesus in the old west. Interesting stuff.
