Please STOP! (I know that sounds insane, but trust me this once, okay?) Take a breath. Look around. Amid all this lunacy - - It's Christmas! Everything you are doing has a purpose. To bring joy to someone you love. You know what that means? You have love for someone! And there are also, believe me if no one else, people who are thinking the same way about you. If that is not reason enough to feel celebration and a bit of music in your heart amid all this craziness, then think this, "Someone has gone to so much trouble (more than they need to if the truth be told) to make sure you have something to make you happy. You are loved! Hell, I love you. I love this time of year because, no matter what silly religion you adhere to they all say that we should love each other. Please take that to heart! Please know that no matter how dire our situation seems at times we all have one glowing jewel that we will own as long as we care to possess it - - hope! And that is the miracle of Christmas. I am not religious. I believe a lot of things that would send members of all kinds of churches, synagogues, mosques, whatever running from the room in confusion. But as long as love is involved, it cannot be all wrong! If someone you love is near you right now, squeeze their hand and look into their eyes. You don't have to say anything at all. Or you could just say "Merry Christmas." But just know that each year, like the spring coming phoenix-like from the snows of winter, we will come back. Because we love. Okay, you may now return to your preparation insanity. Oh, and one more thing. Merry Christmas!
