I have to tell you this: Yes, it was hard to adjust to the cultural changes, but now I am having such an incredible time reading "The Celebrated Cases of Judge Dee." This is a Chinese Detective novel from about 1500 A.D. and it is so engrossing to be somewhere really and totally unlike anything I have ever experienced before. It is so rare for me to be actually introduced to something brand new at my age, I am in Heaven!
