The Most Important Women in my Life
Jun. 14th, 2010 07:58 amVery soon the most important ladies in my life will be taking a vacation, and it is time for them to hear just how much I will miss them.
1. Brie - - You hold my hopes and dreams in your hands and my soul in the twinkle of your eye. There is not an hour of the day that passes that I don't think about how much I care about you. That you are a reader is a joy of my soul, that you try to figure things out is what makes you a person that will always find a way, and that is what I respect and always makes me smile. That you are as smart as you are pretty is a jewel that the heavens decided to give the world. Whatever you want to do with your life, I will always be there when you need me to help it come true. Even when you can't see me, my heart will be there opening doors and pointing directions. I love you Kiddo, always have and always will.
2. Robin - - I changed everything about myself when you came around. I was a darker, sadder man before I met you, but I became a better man so that I deserved to be your Papa. Music sang better, colors were more vibrant and flowers spruced up their scent. I made a lot of mistakes as a parent, but never a moment of not loving you with every fiber of myself. When you began to love learning I was giddy. Wow, my beautiful daughter is smart too! What man gets that? When are not a close as once we were, but I think back to that time and know that few, if any, men ever had that kind of closeness with a child. You were never out of my heart (even when you were 13!) Hey little girl, give me one last hug.
3. Pam - - Nothing I have ever done, nothing I have ever been or will do or be, would be possible without you at my side. I might have done something, but none of it would have mattered a bit. I just survived until I found you in that cardboard box. We have been together through so many lives, but none of them amounted to a tiny portion of this one. When you are not with me I just go through the motions. Please know that there are so many people who love and adore you, but none to the level that I do. I love you more than anyone could love another. Much more. I might even say MOST!
