Passions can make us rush forward without looking out, and we can stumble over things in mistakes that are beneath us. Remember that not only before you act, but before you call names. "The other side" may make foolish statements, but it you rush in to call names before you look at the underlying theme then you are being foolish too. Life is not a debate, at least it shouldn't be. It should be a discussion in which we offer the same courtesies we would ask. When we ignore this golden rule we dismiss the heart of every faith and stomp on everything that makes us civilized.
