Going the other way
Jan. 4th, 2005 10:48 amBack to movies. What movies are you always glad to watch, but get you strange looks from those with you? Not just guilty pleasures (like "Plan 9") but films where you draw those quizical stares and can see people reevaluating you in their heads. Here are some of mine.
1) Gamera movies (Godzilla gets polite nods, perhaps whimsical smiles, but this brings out the "Is that a turtle with Tusks?")
2) Ray Harryhausen films (Fans know, but the younger folk raised on CGI don't get it.)
3) Johnny Sokko & His Giant Robot (don't ask)
4) Frankenstein vs. the Space Monster
5) Mr. Hoppity Goes To Town
Well, you get the idea. Any you want to share?
