Hard to keep the list short, but here goes, off the top of my head:
1. Casblanca
2. Sullivan's Travels
3. The Grapes of Wrath
4. Independence Day
5. Singin' in the Rain.
You can add almost any Gene Kelly movie, John Ford Westerns, Frank Capra movies, Billy Wilder films, Jack Lemmon movies and anything written by Richard Matheson.
