Well, Sir, here we are again.

Someone once said, "Religion is for those who fear Hell. Spirituality is for those who have seen hell and want to see something better." I don't have to tell those who know me how I feel about religion. It is a business, and like most business' was begun with service in mind. Then the bureaucracy sets in. Religions needed new converts, so they found flaws in human nature that they could build on. Then they found common celebrations that they could claim as their own. Then they made everyone else the enemy. Sort of like the Republican party. I understand them, and try not to hate them. They are still trying to believe that the original service is the point. Folks, when I talk to whomever I talk to about my hopes and fears, she comforts me and sometimes brings me cookies, whether I deserve them or not. Do I scream out for immorality and anarchy? No. I believe, above all else in fairness and caring. Not because I'm going to hell for not doing it, but because it is right and human to look out for each other. Are people going to disappoint me? Hell, they're going to disappoint themselves, why should I be any different. I believe that people should be held to the same policy I would hold the government to. Stop doing things that shame you when it is found out you did them! Don't mine the harbors in the middle of the night, don't airlift presidents out of countries because you don't want to take a stand about them, don't make up reasons to do bad things. Don't hate people because they are a different color or religion or sexual preference or whatever. You will never get out of your own head. That is for sure. You will always be in there. When time comes to look at what you have done in your life, you will still be inside your own head. If things are not okay in there, it doesn't matter what you've said in the other world. "When we are betrayed, it is from within ourselves"
