I have been thinking

This past few weeks I have had reason to consider mortality. If there is a heaven (other than this one) and St. Peter stands at the gate asking you what you are proudest of, here is my list (not always in order because I am doing this stream of semi-consciousness):
1. I was Pam's soul mate and though I gave her cause for embarrassment time and time again I never gave her reason to doubt my total commitment and love for her.
2. I was Robin's papa and the same is true as stated above, with the addition that my parental pride in she who has most often been my other best friend has never even flickered.
3. I am Brie and Sean's Pappy. They are the most magnificent people I have had the privilege of watching grow since I was gifted with their mother.
4. I have the most brilliant friends, so many it is hard for a man who once considered himself a loner and a hermit to conceive it. Jesse, Jim, Joe, Becki, Hawk, Mel, Eric, Julie, Di, Chuck, Cat, Thomas, Ben, John, Brent, Don, Elliot, Lama Chuck, Marc, Andrew, Tony, Mark, Walker, Mark, Dani, Claire, Chris, Liz, Mike, Heather, Jordan, Marsha, John, Vicki, Joshua, Bob, Larry, Karlon, Gordon, Keith, Chris, Don, Gene, Sheryl, Warren, Cheryl, Tara, Brett, Bruce, Susi, Nikki, Riley, Becki, Sandy, Todd, Gino, Courtney, Brian, Scott and the many others whose names have run through the sieve of a brain of mine. And all the new ones whose names have not yet become etched in my memory but whose faces brighten my thoughts.
5. I did everything I put on that age 16 "bucket list" that I wanted to do. (Not all of them had the outcome that I wanted, but perhaps I should have been more specific)
6. For all my personal mistakes I was able to work with the most amazing group of individuals at the White Hart Faire that any man could ever imagine.
7. I think I will finish the novel I am working on, a piece of fanfic I have wanted to write for 20 years and hope to finish a book with my lovely wife called: "The Hidden History of England or The Magic Tale of Seymoure and Mother Pockets."
I hope this was not boring to whomever took the time to read it, I just had to get it off my chest while I could. I am filled with radiating love (and this before I even took my pain meds.)
